Hospitality of St. Julian Painting Loaned to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay WI

On December 15, 2011, the recently restored painting: Hospitality of St. Julian, will be placed in the Bishop Wycislo Center at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Green Bay and De Pere Antiquarian Society is pleased to announce that this beautiful, historical work of art now known as "The Hospitality of St. Julian" will be on indefinite loan to the Green Bay Catholic Diocese.

The placement will take approximately 2-3 hours on Thursday morning December 15, 2011,begins after 9:15 a.m.  when the Cathedral and museum staff will initiate the measurements and process for placement.

The painting, weighing close to 75 pounds, will be placed by a minimum of three men.  After the painting is hung, the story boards that were part of this painting exhibit at the Neville Public Museum in 2009 will be placed on the adjoining wall space.

Pastor Father John Girotti will join  the festivities as refreshments will be served.   Representatives of the Green Bay and De Pere Antiquarian Society will be present to also document this placement of our historic painting.
